Homemade Bircher Muesli

For all you superwoman out there! Get your day off to a good start with this easy to make Homemade Bircher Muesli. It’s made with organic oats, nuts, cinnamon and Lifestream CC Flax which adds extra nutritional value, especially for women, with all the goodness of plant sourced Calcium, Cranberry and Flaxseed.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Serves: 1

Vegan, Gluten free option, Dairy free

Ingredients:

½ cup rolled oats (gluten free if required)

100mls almond Milk

Juice and zest of 1 orange

½ apple peeled and grated

½ cup of coconut yoghurt

¼ teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon ground ginger

1 heap teaspoon Lifestream CC Flax

1 teaspoon natural sweetener (date, agave, honey etc)

Toppings:

10 almonds whole or chopped

¼ cup of berries- fresh or defrosted from frozen

½ a ripe banana chopped

(Or any other fresh fruit of your choice!)

Directions:

1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, mix well.

2. Cover and put in the fridge overnight.

3. For breakfast, add the toppings and serve immediately.

This can also be used as a healthy dessert. Customise to your taste with your favourite fruit, nuts and seeds, or for added energy, add a teaspoon of Lifestream Spirulina.
